    Pug Dog Club of Greater NY Designated Specialty pug dog show in NYC Saturday, January 31st, 2026

    The Pug Dog Club of Greater New York in conjunction with Progressive Dog Club will be running the Designated Specialty at the New Yorker Hotel on January 31st.

    Come join us for a day (or two) of dog loving fun at the Javit’s center in NYC. The Pug Dog Club of Greater New York will be hosting a table at the event both Saturday and Sunday to help educate the public about our favorite breed, the pug. This event will include more than 150 breeds for the public to discover and learn about. There will also be fun events and shows for education and entertainment.

    Don’t miss our annual event at the Alice Austen House Museum!

    This event is open to everyone, members and non-members!

    Our educational pug fun-fundraiser day is for people, pugs and all toy breeds! Come join us at the beautiful grounds of the late Alice Austen’s historic home overlooking New York Harbor. We have so many fun things for you to do with your bestie!

    • make new friends
    • take a tour of the Alice Austen House
    • relax on the lawn with some chairs or a blanket (BYO)
    • participate in our fun Pug Fun Breed* competition
    • compete in our annual pup costume contest
    • test for your AKC Canine Good Citizen* for toy breeds
    • enter the raffle to win our big prize
    • enjoy a hamburger and hot dog from our barbecue
    • dip your toes in the harbor and stroll for seaglass

    Pug Fun Day Details

    June 22, 2025 (rain date June 29th), 10:30am-5pm

    $10 entry fee per person** (children under 12 free)

    Alice Austen House Museum (entry & tour are free during Pug Fun Day)

    Street parking available

    **This event is held to educate the public about pugs and have fun. Please bring cash for the entry fee, barbecue, raffle, and anything else you decide. Pug activities are free!

    *Pug Fun Breed Competition- this event is intended for pugs only. Spectators welcome and encouraged.

    *AKC Canine Good Citizen- this is a certification only. Your pup must be fully trained in advance and pass the certification test given by our AKC representative on this day. There is an AKC fee.
